This post is a continuation of my installation of PeopleSoft on a Windows 8 Beta installation. Previously, I installed the PeopleTools CD on the machine. This post is about installing the Application CD onto the machine.
First, I simply unzipped the files on the machine. You should just have to download a single zip file. For HRMS, that is V30354-01.
To start the install, I double clicked on setup.bat.
I had to accept the license first.
Next, I entered the license code. You can get the code from Oracle’s License Code page. Note that it is specific to the application and not the PeopleTools code.
Next, I selected Non-Unicode because I don’t intend on doing multi-language support.
I selected all of the servers to install. That is easiest because don’t have to worry about not having a feature that you decide to enable at a later point.
Next, choose your PeopleSoft home. The easiest method is to install on top of your PeopleSoft Home where you installed PeopleTools, and that is what I did. You could also choose a separate directory and make sure that you set the PS_APP_HOME environment variable to that directory.
Again, I choose all of the product features. It’s easiest that way rather than not having something at a later date.
Now, we just review our choices.
I gave it a minute to install…
Then, it was done…
